Christine Smith is the Crime Scene Team Lead for the Grand Prairie Police Department in Grand Prairie, Texas. In addition to investigating crime scenes, she is a latent print examiner and oversees the training and quality assurance of the unit. She previously worked as a Crime Scene Technician for the New Orleans Police Department.

Christine received a Master of Science in Forensic Science from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, UK and has a Bachelor of Arts in History from Tulane University. Her master’s thesis was written on forensic fire investigation while interning at the Houston Fire Department’s Arson Bureau.

Christine currently teaches the crime scene module in the Grand Prairie Police Academy and the Intermediate Crime Scene course, required by the State of Texas for Intermediate Peace Officer certification.
